We currently deliver Monday-Saturday, between 8 am and 5 pm. When you place your order, you will have the option to select either the morning route (8 am-12 pm) or the afternoon route (12 pm-5 pm).

Last-minute plans? All South Bay customers are eligible for same-day delivery on orders placed before 1:30 PM.

Cities outside of our primary delivery radius are eligible for next-day delivery on orders.

You will be notified that your order is on its way via text and email.

You can leave your tanks anywhere in a safe, accessible location such as: on your front porch, near the back gate, etc.

At checkout, you will see a section titled "instructions for delivery".

There, you can add any special instructions such as gate codes, requests, and any additional information. We offer free installation with every delivery. (Tips for our drivers are not required but greatly appreciated.)

If you are expecting a same-day delivery, we recommend that you leave your tanks outside immediately after placing your order; this will ensure we don't miss you.

Yes, we gladly exchange any brand of tanks in working condition.

We offer 2 tank options: tank exchange and spare tank.

Tank exchange is for customers who already own a tank and want to swap theirs out for a full tank.

Spare tank is for customers who either don't already have a tank or are simply purchasing an extra spare tank.

Both options come pre-filled with 4 gallons of propane.

We offer free delivery on all orders over $25.

1. At Checkout (Look for the button: 'Tip Driver' and select the amount of your choosing.

2. Cash (You can leave it with your order or hand it to them)

3. Venmo (You can send it to them @southbaypropane with your order number included)

Tipping is not required but it is very much appreciated. 100% goes directly to our drivers.

Yes—they’re the same size tank. “20lb” refers to the tank’s total capacity, but for safety, it’s only filled to about 80%. We fill to 4 gallons, which is about 17lb of propane. Many exchange programs only fill to 15lb, which is why you might see that listed.
